Florida Department Welcomes First Therapy Dog

The Winter Haven Police Department posted images on Facebook over the weekend of its brand new K-9, a therapy dog named Miranda.

The post read, "Miranda, the Winter Haven Police Department's first Therapy Dog, along with her handler, Detective Elyse Chapnick, made her first official public appearance today at the department."

The post said that Miranda is a 15 month-old Yellow Lab, and is certified as a therapy dog to assist with victims as well as members of the Department.
