2 New York Officers Injured During Arrest of Car Break-In Suspect

Two officers with the New York Police Department suffered minor injuries during the arrest of a car break-in suspect in Brooklyn early Monday morning.

Two officers with the New York Police Department suffered minor injuries during the arrest of a car break-in suspect in Brooklyn early Monday morning.

According to the New York Post, When the two officers approached the subject—identified as 25-year-old Kevin Janvier—he took off on foot. During the ensuing pursuit, a female officer suffered a cut to her face. A male officer suffered an injury to his elbow.

Janvier was taken into custody and charged with two counts of felony assault.

The officers were transported to a nearby hospital where they were treated and released.
