Infamous Boston mob boss and federal informant James "Whitey" Bulger has been killed in prison, according to Fox News.

Bulger was killed at a West Virginia prison, where he was recently transferred to serve the remainder of his two consecutive life sentences—plus five years—for his crimes.

According to reports, Bulger was beaten to death by "multiple inmates" who may have connections to organized crime.

Bulger had led the notorious Winter Hill Gang in Boston for many years, while also allegedly being an informant for the FBI—a claim Bulger denied.
