Louisville (KY) police gave protesters 15 minutes to remove their tents from the Occupy ICE protest site in front of the downtown federal building.

Nobody moved, so dozens of officers tore down the tents, and removed various objects — grills, sleeping bags, foam pads, and even toys — from encampment, dubbed Camp Compasión.

Police said the removal of the objects was necessary to be in compliance with state law and the Americans with Disabilities Act, according to the Courier Journal.

Police had previously requested protesters create a four-foot-wide path on the sidewalk.

The effort began at 0600 hours, and by 0900 the encampment was gone.
