A federal grand jury indicted former Baltimore Police Sergeant Wayne Earl Jenkins, 37, Thursday on charges relating to a 2010 arrest based in part on planted evidence. Jenkins has been charged with Destruction, Alteration, or Falsification of Records in Federal Investigations and Deprivation of Rights Under Color of Law, reports WBFF.

The Baltimore Police Commissioner confirms that Officer #1 referenced in this indictment is Detective Sean Suiter. It appears that Suiter was set up to discover the planted drugs while searching a subject's vehicle after a pursuit.

At a news conference Thursday, Davis reiterated that Sean Suiter was not ever the target of an FBI Investigation. Suiter was set to give grand jury testimony in this case a day after he was fatally shot in West Baltimore.
