Nine people were wounded, when rival gang members began firing at each other while leaving a Christmas Eve party outside a downtown Chattanooga church and teen club.

During the melee, an off-duty officer working security fired at a suspect who pointed a gun at him. Approximately 400 people were outside of Club Fathom when shots were fired.

The club is known for having a "history of trouble," reports the Times Free Press.
