Urban and Airport Sniper Tactics School

The Operational Tactics Urban & Airport Sniper Operations School hosted by the Lee Co., Florida Sheriff's Office, will be held March 18-22, 2002.

This school is designed to prepare law enforcement and military snipers for emergency response operations that could occur in these areas. Urban and airport sniper tactics will be covered in class and through scenarios conducted at an international airport.

Instruction will be provided regarding deployment considerations, effects of shooting through glass, and the construction of vehicle and urban hides. In addition, live-fire range training will include engagement of targets out to 250+ yards.

Operational Tactics Training Schools focusing on a variety of different tactics will occur across the country throughout 2002.
