Glock donated $50,000 to the Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) during the 2011 International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Conference in Chicago in late October.
Glock regional managers Warren Ackerson, Bob Radecki and Larry Burlingame, along with spokesman R. Lee Ermey, presented a check to the organization during a donation ceremony at the Glock booth on Oct. 24.
"Glock is proud to contribute to organizations such as C.O.P.S., which plays such a vital role in helping to rebuild the lives of the families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty," said Gary Fletcher, vice president. "Glock is extremely proud of our long history of supporting the individuals and families of those that go in harm's way."
This marks the fifth consecutive year that Glock, Inc., has donated to C.O.P.S., bringing total Glock donations to the organization to $250,000. Accepting the donation on behalf of C.O.P.S. were Linda Moon Gregory, national president; Mariah Hughes, chief executive; and Mark Hannan, trustee.
