A crowd of over 180 people shared in the celebration on Thursday, May 29th of the official ground-breaking ceremony of the Kahr Firearms Group's new headquarters in Blooming Grove Township of Pike County, Pa., located in the Pocono region of the state. Justin Moon, CEO, Kahr Firearms Group welcomed Pennsylvania Lt. Governor Jim Cawley to the event that also included a number of key state officials.

Early last year, Kahr made the key decision to move its headquarters out of New York and move to the more gun-friendly state of Pennsylvania. The purchase included 620 acres of prime commercial real estate from the Pike County Industrial Park Development Group. The ground-breaking ceremony christens the first step in the multi-phased relocation. The corporate offices and the research and development departments will be the first to be relocated. When the second phase commences, manufacturing operations will be expanded to the Pike County location to meet the increasing manufacturing demands for Kahr Firearms Group products.

"We are just a few months into the initial construction phase of our new corporate headquarters, and already the support we are receiving from the Pike County Industrial Park Development Group, the local community, and even Governor Corbett has been extremely welcoming," stated VP of Marketing and Sales, Frank Harris. "It clearly demonstrates how eager the state of Pennsylvania is to bring job opportunities to the citizens of the state, while also supporting our right to manufacture firearms."

The move to Pennsylvania will make for a far more cohesive relationship between the firearms manufacturer and the State than what they have experienced in New York, according to the company. As Kahr Firearms Group expands over the next few years, they will reach out to the community with the addition of employment opportunities. For more information on Kahr Arms, visit www.kahr.com
