Beretta chambered its striker-fired BU9 Nano for the 9mm and .40 S&W cartridges, which many people prefer for pocket pistols. Unless you are a nudist, you ought to have no trouble at all concealing this little handgun just about anywhere upon your person. Despite its small size and low-profile sights, Beretta's BU9 Nano handles very well, and it's a natural choice for concealed carry.

In this left-hand view you can see the lever on the front of the trigger that prevents movement unless fully depressed, the magazine release button, and the "window" in the polymer frame that allows you to see the serial number on the internal chassis.

Offhand drills at five and seven yards showed that, despite its small size, the Nano could put rounds where the author wanted them.

Beretta offers an optional 8-round magazine for the Nano.

The Nano comes standard with a six-round, single-column magazine. Note the texturing on the backstrap of the grip frame.

The Nano can be disassembled into its five main subcomponents very easily.
