Smith & Wesson developed its eight-shot 327 TRR8, after a SWAT officer contacted the company to ask for a beefy revolver for the lead penetrator, who must carry a ballistic shield with one hand. The TRR8 gives operators eight rounds of .357 Mag in a package including a Scandium "N" frame, 5-inch barrel, and blackened cylinder. Rails and moon clips are included. S&W's 327 TRR8 Revolver

While many people discount revolvers, S&W's 327 TRR8 is powerful, reliable, and carries as many rounds as the average .45 ACP 1911 semi-automatic pistol.

The rails on S&W's 327 TRR8 provide ample room for customization, although few holsters currently exist to fit the revolver and its accessories. A custom holster may be your best option.

The 327 TRR8's eight-round blackened cylinder gives the revolver capacity on par with many .45 ACP 1911 pistols.

The TRR8 arrives with Crimson Trace Laser Grips that offer comfort, when shooting .357 Magnum rounds.

The revolver's Picatinny rails allow for the mounting of a variety of optics and weapon lights, including these lights from SureFire and Insight Technology.

POLICE author Nick Jacobellis believes the revolver is ideal for tactical use. The revolver is "hefty enough to absorb recoil like a sponge." When shooting it, "I acquired targets a tad quicker when I did it the old fashioned way and used the adjustable sights."

The revolver arrives with fully adjustable rear sights and a removeable rail that accommodates various types of optics.
