Cor-Bon DPX is a solid 100% copper hollow-point bullet that features a polymer nickel coated case with Ducta-Bright 7a. The nose is reshaped for quicker expansion and to provide deeper penetration. It improves low-light chamber checks and will ease extraction from a dirty chamber. Improvements to the DPX bullets include six cuts all the way through the ogive, meaning longer and sharper petals. These allow the copper bullet to fully expand, doubling the bullet's diameter. According to Cor-Bon, DPX maintains 100% of its weight after going through heavy barriers. DPX is certified lead-free, and can be used in California.

Specifically designed for short-barreled rifles, Hornady's new 5.56 NATO 75-grain TAP SBR bullet meets FBI protocol and is infused with technology from Critical Duty FlexLock pistol bullets. The TAP SBR utilizes a propellant developed specifically for optimal performance in barrels size 10.5 inches 11.5 inches, and is effective in both suppressed and unsuppressed rifles. Sound signature tests have shown reductions of 6 to 7 decibels compared to other loads, according to the company. In addition, the efficiency of the propellant results in a 15% to 20% temperature reduction, delivering a progressive burn rate.

Liberty's Civil defense ammunition features lower weight with twice the velocity and reduced recoil, according to the company. The Civil Defense Round's design increases energy transferred into the target while greatly reducing any over-penetration concerns. The product has received a 5-star rating from the NTOA. Liberty Ammunition supplies tactical ammunition to the U.S. military, American allies, and law enforcement. Liberty Ammunition currently offers 9mm, 40 S&W, 45 ACP, 380 Auto, .38 Special, .357 Magnum, 10mm Auto, 45 Long Colt, and .223 Rem in its Civil Defense line.

National Police Ammunition's new H.E.L.O (High-Expansion-Law Enforcement-Round) with patent pending S.P.E.A.R (Sintered Penetrating Expansion Assisting Rod) is a solid copper hollow point that bridges the gap between a barrier blind cartridge and a controlled expansion round. The HELO SPEAR uses a fluted sintered metal ballistic insert that passes barriers such as auto glass, drywall, plywood, and others while retaining 98% of its weight. According to the company, HELO SPEAR will only penetrate to its programmed depth, retaining 99% weight and expanding to twice its original diameter. The HELO with SPEAR ballistic insert will only be available to law enforcement in all major calibers for rifle and pistol.

SIG Sauer's Match Grade Elite Performance Ammunition line has added the 223 Rem and 308 Win loads. The .223 Rem Open Tip Match round features a 77-grain Sierra MatchKing bullet with a muzzle velocity of 2,750 fps and muzzle energy of 1,293 ft-lb. The .308 Win load uses a 168-grain Sierra MatchKing bullet with muzzle velocity of 2,700 fps and muzzle energy of 2,719 ft-lbs. The temperature-stable propellants in these cartridges ensure minimum velocity variations. All SIG Sauer rifle ammunition is precision loaded and electromechanically monitored. The shell case metallurgy in the SIG Match Grade OTM cartridges yields consistent bullet retention round to round, according to the company.

New Gold Dot G2 from Speer LE is now being delivered to law enforcement dealers. The Gold Dot G2 features exclusive Gold Dot construction and a structural-plated, pressure-formed core. Instead of a large cavity in the nose, Gold Dot G2 has a shallow dish filled with a high-performance elastomer. On impact, the material is forced into specially designed fissures to start the expansion process, as opposed to conventional bullet designs, which need target media to enter the hollow point and create expansion forces. The result is uniform expansion and more consistent penetration across barrier types, gun platforms, and barrel lengths.

UTM UTX Marker Rounds

The new 9mm UTX Marker Round utilizes UTM's Non-Lethal Training Ammunition technology. 9mm UTX Marker Rounds can be used with the appropriate existing conversion. UTX uses patented driving bands and a dual primer system, ensuring malfunction-free training, according to the company. The UTX also promises no plastic shavings or inaccuracies caused through smooth bore effect as well as controlled and consistent velocity. According to UTM, the driving bands and dual primer system help to improve the effectiveness of force-on-force, force-on-target, and tactical training. UTM's inertia technology (as opposed to bursting) allows glancing shots to mark, providing more consistent and reliable hit identification during force-on-force exercises.
