A Walton County, FL, Sheriff’s deputy’s patrol vehicle was struck by lightning Sunday while he was driving.

He was transported to the hospital and expected to be OK, the agency reports on Facebook.

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reports that the vehicle was inoperable after the strike “fried” the electrical system.
