The Indiana State Police opened the application process for new troopers, and began accepting applications through its Web site.
The agency is currently offering only a traditional academy to recruits. Initially, the state police expects to hire at least 50 officers, Trooper Todd Ringle tells POLICE Magazine.

Recruits with military backgrounds may be eligible for the Military Obligation Program if they maintain active status, are stationed outside of Indiana, have military obligations restricting your availability to travel to Indiana, have an ETS (Estimated Time of Separation) ending prior to the end of the selection process, and are available for testing.
