Several Arizona officers have been fired and others may face charges for their roles in a Prescott bar fight as members of the Iron Brotherhood police biker club, reports the Daily Courier.
The Maricopa County District Attorney's Office continues to review the case, following an Arizona DPS investigation that recommended criminal charges against the officers.
The DPS report recommended charges of felony obstruction of criminal investigations and misdemeanor false reporting to law enforcement against former Prescott Valley Police Chief Bill Fessler and former Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking Sgt. Bill Suttle and a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct against Justin Stafford, whose nose was broken in the Dec. 22 fight at Moctezuma's in Prescott.
Phoenix Police Officer Eric Amato and Prescott Valley Cpl. Gregory Kaufmann, who threw punches according to the DPS report, could face possible misdemeanor charges of assault and disorderly conduct. Yavapai County Deputy Mark Boan was fired May 17 for his conduct during the investigation. A DPS spokesman told the Daily Courier the agency plans to fire Officer Bryce Bigalow for his role in the incident.
