A Bay County (Fla.) Sheriff's lieutenant relayed a pressing question to his girlfriend and 911 dispatcher over the police scanner earlier this week. He asked her to marry him.

Lt. Rad Nelson asked Elizabeth Ann Cook to switch to a tactical channel and then popped the question, "Elizabeth Ann Cook from the bottom of my heart and the depths of my soul I want to ask you, will you marry me?"

He had a few butterflies when he asked the question, he told WJHG. She answered, "Of course. 10-4."
