Colorado Voters Approve $350 Million for Police Pay, Benefits, Training

The $350 million will go toward local law enforcement pay, bonuses, education and training of peace officers.

Colorado voters passed Proposition 130 last week, allocating $350 million for local police and providing a $1 million death benefit to the family of any officer killed in the line of duty.

The $350 million will go toward local law enforcement pay, bonuses, education and training of peace officers, CBS reports.

The funding is supposed to be distributed by the Colorado Department of Public Safety through a grant program.
