"We are pleased that TranTech will help Toronto Police Service capture and manage digital evidence. As it has in other jurisdictions, video interview solutions can lead to an increase in convictions through the integrated management of digital evidence," says TiTi McNeill, President/CEO of TranTech.

Toronto will use TranTech's MediaSolv VIS Metropolitan, which supports prisoner processing areas and interview rooms in locations around the city.  It is networked, with centralized storage and easy access by authorized personnel from any location within the organization.

TranTech's comprehensive solution will produce digital evidence from the time a suspect is brought through the door. TranTech will provide its expertise for every aspect of video recording, audio recording, storage, accessibility, and interfacing with Toronto Police Services' existing Information Technology infrastructure.

In recent years, more police departments have been recording interviews to protect the rights of citizens, protect themselves against wrongful lawsuits, and create digital evidence that can easily be managed while meeting the data integrity requirements of the courts.

The MediaSolv VIS product family provides advanced, yet easy-to-use capabilities for a complete turnkey digital video solution. "Our MediaSolv solutions which is in 117 interview rooms and prisoner processing areas, offer integrated Digital Evidence Management tools that allow multiple sources of digital evidence to be stored, searched, retrieved and viewed from a single system," says Bellacicco.
