School Officer Murdered while Working Security at San Antonio IHOP
The fight escalated, officials say, and moved outside to the parking lot. Police believe Martinez was assaulted in the frenzy and when the suspects tried to leave, two suspects in a car ran over the officer, pinning him beneath the vehicle. The suspects then fled the scene on foot.

A 16-year-old Oshkosh (WI) West High School student stabbed a school resource officer before the officer opened fire on the teen Tuesday morning, according to Oshkosh Police Chief Dean Smith.

The suspect "would not remove his hands" from his pocket and ignored officers' commands, according to the police chief. Eventually, he said the student removed the handgun from his waistband and pointed it at officers.
