Brandon Daniel, 33, was found unresponsive his bunk at the Polunsky Unit in Livingston at about 4:25 a.m. Saturday, according to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

$75K Reward Offered for Information in Shooting of TX Deputies
Crime Stopper of Houston announced they had increased the reward to $10,000. In addition Houston Rockets owner Tillman Fertitta said he would be adding $40,000 to the reward and an additional $25,000 would be given through an anonymous donor.

A man who authorities say ambushed two Harris County Precinct deputy constables, killing one, critically wounding another, and shooting a third as he responded to the shooting remained at large Monday.

Houston Police Union Demands Judge Resign Over Release of Accused Cop Killer
Magistrate Lionel Castro set bond amounts for Ledet at $20,000 and $40,000 on Nov. 17, 2020. The next day, on Nov. 18, the District Attorney’s office asked for the bond to be denied because Ledet had two felony convictions. Instead, the DA’s office said Judge Greg Glass of the 208th District Court lowered the bond amounts to $10,000 and $20,000.

Houston Officer Shot and Killed Serving Narcotics Warrant
Senior Police Officer William "Bill" Jeffrey was airlifted to the hospital and later died. Officer Michael Vance was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Vance is reportedly stable after surgery.

Convicted Felon Helps TX Officer Make Arrest
Gonzales said he was on his way to the gym, where he trains as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter, when he saw the officer chasing a man. He says when that man tripped and fell to the ground, the officer fell on top of him and the fight for control was on.
