Reward Reaches $50,000 for Georgia Cop's Killer
Senior Police Officer Elmer "Buddy" Christian was killed, and Senior Police Officer Tony Howard was wounded. Apparently, Hood shot Howard before he could exit the patrol car, and then ran. Christian pursued Hood, who then shot him through the window of the cruiser.

Ohio Cop Killer Eligible for the Death Penalty
Kevin Randleman has been charged with aggravated murder, having a weapon under disability, a concealed carry violation, and two specifications β that the victim was an on-duty police officer and a gun was used in the commission of the crime.

Detroit Officer's Killer Convicted
Jason Gibson has been convicted of fatally shooting Detroit Police Officer Brian Huff, following an 18-day trial that included 447 pieces of evidence. A Wayne County jury deliberated for about three hours, and then announced guilty verdicts on all 17 counts against the 26-year-old.

Suspect Charged with Murder of Ohio Officer
Kevin Randleman, 50, is suspected of firing on Officer Andrew Dunn, 30. The two exchanged gunfire at 3:30 a.m., after Dunn contacted Randleman while he rode his bicycle.

The suspect moved the K-9 officer's deceased body 10 to 15 feet to the attic opening and placed the officer's boot in view of fellow officers. He also intentionally set a trap to lure police into his line of fire.

There were three rapid gun shots, and the Marshal saw the K-9 officer roll off the suspect. The Marshal transitioned to his firearm and was shot twice (lower front vest and groin) and fell back through the attic opening onto the detective and onto the floor. The suspect began to fire rounds from the attic through the ceiling at officers.

Goliath Davis, a former St. Petersburg (Fla.) Police chief and city administrator, said he was dismissed from his position because he skipped three memorial services for slain officers and attended the funeral of cop killer Hydra Lacy.

Nicholas Lindsay's mother said she knew it was her son, when she watched surveillance video footage posted by the St. Petersburg PD showing an African-American in a hoodie sweatshirt. The department also located two flip-flops at the scene of the shooting that are now being tested for DNA.

Parole Officer In Indy Cop's Slaying Fired
Billie Ruffner, a 28-year veteran of the DOC, apparently failed to do monthly checks on Thomas Hardy, which allowed him to go free. Hardy is accused of murdering Officer David Moore during a traffic stop Jan. 23.
