Ky. Officer Killed In High-Speed Pursuit
A Hodgenville (Ky.) Police officer died Sunday in a single-vehicle crash while pursuing a suspect after responding to a domestic violence call. Officer Mark Allen Taulbee, 43, was killed when his cruiser left the roadway on Kentucky Route 210 in LaRue County.

Ky. Department Shifts To Dodge Chargers
The Hazard (Ky.) Police Department is replacing its Ford Crown Victoria fleet with Dodge Chargers, beginning with the purchase of five vehicles. Sgt. Paul Campbell told the newspaper that the department chose the Charger because of its fuel economy and speed.

Ky. Trooper Solicited Sex In Uniform With Gun
Michael Fred Pennington, 35, offered a woman a Lortab pill in exchange for sex in September. The woman alerted law enforcement and once Pennington arrived at her London residence and gave her the pill, Kentucky State Police detectives arrested him.
