A conference on digital forensics will focus on using the latest software tools to determine if computer files have been altered, a common problem in searching suspects’ hard drives.
Experts from the FBI, the U.S. Airforce, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), among others, will make presentations on developments in the use investigative software aids called hash sets at the June 29 computer forensics workshop.
