The Pima County (Ariz.) Sheriff's Department SWAT team fatally shot a former Marine during a raid, firing 71 shots at the man who allegedly pointed an AR-15 rifle at officers serving a warrant at his home.

Jose Guerena, 26, may have said, "I've got something for you" to officers who entered the house. Guerena served in Iraq twice, and lived in the southwest Tucson home with his wife and two children.

Because of the frequency of home invasions in the city, the Tucson Police Department formed a special unit in 2008 to deal with these drug-trade crimes.
