Texas Motor Officer Injured in Crash

A motorcycle officer with the El Paso (TX) Police Department was injured Tuesday morning in a crash as he was attempting to perform a traffic stop.

According to KTSM News , the officer was running radar in the area and attempted to stop a speeder but hit some debris on the road and crashed, police said in an alert.

The officer—whose name has not been released—was transported to a nearby hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The department's Special Traffic Investigations unit is performing the investigation into the incident.
