WA Deputy Murdered in Car While Conducting Surveillance, 3 Suspects in Custody

Authorities say Detective Jeremy Brown was in his vehicle conducting surveillance when he was murdered.

A Clark County (WA) Sheriff's deputy who served on a drug task force was killed Friday evening outside of a Vancouver home.

Authorities say Detective Jeremy Brown was in his vehicle conducting surveillance when he was murdered, KIMA TV reports.

Two men and a woman got in a car and fled from the scene. As law enforcement followed, police say the suspects' car crashed near Padden Parkway and Interstate-205. All three people got out and ran.

Two of the 3 suspects--Abran Raya-Leon, 28, and Misty M. Raya, 35--were detained, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said around 1:20 a.m. Saturday. A third suspect was captured in Salem, OR, on Saturday, KPTV reports.

Detectives from the U.S. Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force and the Salem Police Department found and arrested Guillermo O. Raya-Leon in Salem. He is suspected on being the shooter and will be extradited to Clark County to face charges.
