The officers – all animal cruelty liaisons to the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) within their commands – escorted Jamie, a four-year-old pit bull mix, on a romp through Riverside Park and a special visit to the 20th Precinct on the Upper West Side to get her out of the adoption center for a few hours and hopefully into a new, loving home.
