Brandon White, 33, was killed in the gunfight. Jacksonville officer A.C. Gaulding was wounded in the foot.
The incident began shortly after 9 a.m. with a traffic stop. After hesitating to pull over the suspect parked in a residential driveway and tried to get out of the vehicle. Officer Gaulding ordered him to stay in the vehicle and the suspect opened fire with a handgun.
In the video, Gaulding can be seen firing back at the suspect and moving to a position of cover, News4Jax reports. The suspect can be seen grabbing a rifle and attempting to get out of his car. Gaulding fired again and incapacitated the suspect, police say.
