Fall River, Massachusetts, Police officers went to a home Tuesday evening to serve a warrant and the two suspects fled by climbing up to the roof. One jumped into a fireplace chimney and became trapped.
Police say 33-year-old Robert Langlais, tried to hide inside the chimney and got stuck. Body camera video from police shows Langlais stuck inside the chimney as first responders worked to rescue him, CBS reports.
Seeing Langlais inside the chimney one of the officers told the man, “You’re an idiot.”
The Fall River Fire Department and Fall River Emergency Medical Services removed bricks from the fireplace inside the home to free Langlais.
Langlais was taken into custody. "Due to his Santa-antics, Langlais was transported to a local hospital out of precaution and medically cleared," police said in a statement.
