Miami-Dade Officer Shoots It Out with Drugstore Robbers

The Miami-Dade area has been plagued by a series of drugstore robberies targeting all-night stores such as Walgreens and CVS.

Wednesday night around 9:40 p.m., three men robbed an area Walgreens. A Miami-Dade officer responded, arriving just as the men were fleeing the scene. Shots were exchanged but no one was hit.

The three suspects were still at large at presstime. A perimeter was established and a helicopter was brought in to aid the search. A shotgun was recovered at the scene. The suspects also had pistols.
