A 33-year-old deputy with the Ouachita Parish (La.) Sheriff's Office remained on life-support Friday, after suffering two gunshot wounds to the head during a vehicle stop, the Monroe News Star reports.
J.R. Searcy was shot twice, after he asked Michael Tanner, 26, to place his hands behind his head. A second deputy shot Tanner from 15 feet away. Searcy had drawn his TASER.
Tanner, who had 33 contacts with the agency, had a high-powered handgun concealed in his waistband.
