Washington Trooper Leaves Hospital, Suspect Arrested

Earlier in the day, 45-year-old Martin A. Jones of Seaview, Wash., was arrested and booked for attempted murder and first-degree assault.
Johnson was shot on the Long Beach Peninsula as he prepared a vehicle for towing. An armed man came out of the darkness, mumbled words at the trooper and fired two shots. One round lodged itself in Johnson's head, and doctors are still determining whether to remove fragments of it.
