Dallas Police Officer Cat Lafitte found a creative way for graffiti vandals who have been painting pillars under the freeway at Deep Ellum to greet officers, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Instead of anti-police messages, Lafitte asked them to paint a friendly neighborhood police officers and use an anti-grafitti clear coat so it could be easily washed clean.
The department approved her request pending review of the final image, and the Fraternal Order of Police even chipped in $250 for paint.
