Point Blank Solutions, Inc. has announced the availability of its newest FIIIA ballistic package for the federal and commercial markets. This latest FIIIA solution has been determined to comply with testing protocols for body armor — the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Standard-0101.06. Additionally, the FIIIA package exceeds the recently revised testing requirements for the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Drug Enforcement Administration.

The FIIIA is the latest addition to Point Blank's family of body armor solutions and will headline the company's offering to the federal market. It will also be available for global customers, including military, government, law enforcement, corrections, and private security agencies.

"Our latest FIIIA ballistic package is the culmination of more than a year spent working with our supply chain partners to develop a lightweight, flexible and high-performing solution that meets the needs of multiple market segments," says Sam White, executive vice president business development at Point Blank Solutions. "We are especially proud of this latest advancement as we believe, based on independent testing data, that the performance characteristics are unmatched by any ballistic solution in market."

The armor specially designed to address the strategic needs of officers' most critical missions, providing the highest level possible of ballistic and trauma protection in a more comfortable body armor system, according to the company.

The armor has been rigorously tested based on the NIJ's standard Level IIIA bullets (.357 SIG TMJ FN and .44 MAG SJHP), the FBI's controlled projectile and most prolific threat (9mm 124-grain TMJ RN) and the DEA's MIL-STD-662F fragmentation.

"Our goal remains to provide the industry with the most technologically advanced solutions the industry has to offer, which is especially important given escalating threats our servicemen, officers and agents are facing today," added White.
