SEARCHAfter going through a civil appeal process, Officers Devin Sparks and Randy Murr have been reinstated by the Denver Civil Service Commission. The city's manager of safety, Ashley Kilroy, said she disagreed with the decision, and added that she stood by the decision to terminate the officers.
The two Denver Police officers who were fired over a beating that was captured on surveillance cameras have been reinstated, reports the Denver Channel.
After going through a civil appeal process, Officers Devin Sparks and Randy Murr have been reinstated by the Denver Civil Service Commission. The officers were accused of beating Michael DeHerrera in downtown Denver in April 2009.
The city's manager of safety, Ashley Kilroy, said she disagreed with the decision, and added that she stood by the decision to terminate the officers. DeHerrera's father, a Pueblo (Colo.) Police officer, said he was "shocked, disappointed (and) appalled" by the decision.
