A Waterloo (Ind.) Police officer was shot in the face , while responding to help a couple whose car was stuck in a ditch. The suspect was later shot by additional responding officers.
Investigators are still piecing together details of the Thursday morning encounter. Additional officers responding to the call fatally shot the suspect after he drew a pistol and pointed it at the officers, reports the Journal-Gazette.
