A West Reading (Pa.) Police officer faces a harassment charge, after he repeatedly punched his chief during a closed-door argument.
Officer Ronald Ladd and Chief Edward Fabriziani have been on paid leave since the Aug. 31 altercation. Chief Fabriziani had questioned Officer Ladd about his handling of a call.
Officer Ladd was dispatched to back up Officer Thomas Hawn on a call about a man who had violated a protection-from-abuse order. Hawn decided not to pursue the matter because he didn't feel like beginning paperwork on a Friday, sources said. Ladd disagreed with that decision and went to Fabriziani, who sided with Hawn, reports the Reading Eagle.
