ABA, a business unit of The Safariland Group, has introduced several models in its Xtreme SX body armor series, including a concealable vest designed for female officers.

The Xtreme SX ballistic package features the newest generation of Honeywell  Spectra Shield, a composite material made with high-strength, lightweight Spectra fiber for greater protection and comfort.

The Xtreme SX female ballistic package offers a structured design that contours to the female form. The models are certified using NIJ-approved size templates C1 and C5 that offer law enforcement a wide range of production sizes.

The Xtreme SX family of body armor available now includes the standard model and a new female structured model with a type 2 threat level. The company will introduce 3A threat level packages in both standard and female models later this year.
