A Summerville (S.C.) PD officer died Sunday after collapsing last week during a traffic stop, reports the Post and Courier.
Patrolman Robert Blajszczak, 40, was a seven-year veteran of the department and worked with Summerville's Traffic Division, according to police Capt. Jon Rogers. He collapsed Oct. 20 while on the job and died Sunday, he said.
His career in South Carolina began at the Berkeley County jail in May 1997. He served about six years in Moncks Corner and three years at Edisto Beach before moving to Summerville.
According to ODMP, the cause of death was heart attack.
