A Connecticut state trooper has been caring for two fawns since their mother was killed, the agency posted on Facebook.
Trooper Ben Pagoni #799 from Troop A – Southbury responded to an incident involving a mother deer that had been killed. Unfortunately, two baby deer were left without a mother and there were no rescues available for them. Today, the agency posted that the animals have a new home.
Trooper Pagoni got permission to take custody of the deer and has been caring for them at his home with the help of his family until a rescue became available.
