AZ Officer Shot, in Critical Condition; Suspect at Large

Show Low, AZ, police confirm that a police officer was shot on Tuesday. That officer was reported to be in critical condition, report KPHO and KTVK .

Officials with the Arizona Department of Public Safety say the shooting happened at a Show Low Arby's restaurant, and that suspect Daniel Erickson, 36, was seen leaving a Days Inn nearby.

Erickson was armed with a silver handgun, officers said. Police advised the public not to approach him, and that he was believed to be armed and dangerous.

Show Low is in Navajo County in east-central Arizona.
