A mother shared her 5-year-old son’s story of love during the riots and protests that hit Charlotte this past week after an officer-involved shooting.
In a Facebook post, Deanna Hooker said her son, Jayden, woke up one night and was scared from the helicopters and sirens outside their house, WSOC TV reports.
The next morning, on the way to school, Jayden was listening to the radio and heard about police getting injured during the protests. He asked his mother if he could bring the police donuts and give them hugs for all they do.
That’s just what he did.
