Sgt. Rey Rodriguez of the Bulloch County (GA) Sheriff's Office received a Lifesaving Medal for rescuing a 10-year-old boy who was trapped under an ATV last Wednesday, reports WTOC.
Charlie Waters and his sister had overturned their family's ATV, and Charlie was pinned underneath. Rodriquez was able to use a new tool to lift the vehicle and free the boy.
“When I could see the young child, the ATV was sitting right on top of his neck,” said Sgt. Rodriquez. “I remembered I'd put a strap in the bag, just in case. It came in handy that day,” he said.
The quick action earned him a Lifesaving Medal from the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office and the gratitude of Charlie’s mom.
