Judge Enters Not Guilty Plea for Accused FL Cop Killer

A judge entered not guilty pleas on behalf of Markeith Loyd Wednesday when the accused cop killer continuously interrupted him and refused to enter a plea himself.

A judge entered not guilty pleas on behalf of Markeith Loyd Wednesday when the accused cop killer continuously interrupted him and refused to enter a plea himself.

Loyd faces 11 charges in connection with the death of his pregnant ex-girlfriend and Orlando police officer.

Loyd’s accused of killing Sade Dixon in December, and Orlando Police Lt. Debra Clayton in January.

A May 1 trial date has been set, WFLA TV reports.

“Ranger Grossheim responded Sunday morning to a distress call from park visitors near Birch Cove Island. After taking a family of three aboard his National Park Service boat, the vessel overturned amid high winds and rough waters," NPS said.

National Park Service Ranger Kevin Grossheim died Sunday while trying to rescue a family in distress on a Minnesota lake. His boat capsized in rough waters. The family was rescued but Grossheim drowned.
