Two officers with Salt Lake City area police departments died this weekend—both reportedly from medical issues.
Lieutenant (ret.) James Crowley had served with the West Valley (UT) Police Department. Sergeant Cory Peterson had served with the Unified Police Department.
According to the Deseret News, Crowley—who was retired after a total of 41 years in law enforcement—died due to a brain tumor. Peterson died from "medical-related issues" that were not specified.
