Violent Subject Deploys Officer's TASER on Officer During Struggle

Officers with the Smyrna (GA) Police Department were engaged in a violent struggle with a dangerous subject when the man gained control of one of the officer's TASER and deployed it on one of the officers.

Officers with the Smyrna (GA) Police Department were engaged in a violent struggle with a dangerous subject when the man gained control of one of the officer's TASER and deployed it on one of the officers.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the TASER's probes struck the officer in the torso and the groin, briefly incapacitating the officer.

The offender—identified as 20-year-old Mark Anthony Antunez—now faces four felony charges, including aggravated assault against an officer, willful obstruction of an officer, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a schedule IV controlled substance
