St. Paul Police Disbanding Mounted and Motor Units

The St. Paul (MN) Police Department has announced that it will terminate operations of its Mounted and Motor Units.

According to KSTP-TV, spokesperson Steve Linders said multiple reasons went into the department's decision, including the fact that the department has seen an increase in injuries to members of both units.

The department will reallocate resources to increase response time to calls for service.
