This past weekend, Citizen kicked off its sponsorship of the NYPD Running Club as the official timekeeper of the annual NYPD vs. FDNY 5 Mile Run. Throughout the event, Citizen was present to showcase its appreciation for both companies through the unveiling of the new Thin Blue and Thin Red Line collections. As the official timekeeper, Citizen was featured on the race's timeclock and presented the winning runners of each agency with either a Thin Red or Thin Blue Line timepiece.
"Citizen recognizes the bravery and dedication of service men and women, who risk their lives for the safety of everyday citizens," the company said. "In celebration of these heroes, Citizen has designed these special edition watches featuring the iconic thin blue line and thin red line on the watch faces, as well as unique insignia on the engravable case backs. Each timepiece is presented with special packaging and customizable gold-tone card with engraving offered by Citizen."
