According to the New York Post , a total of 1,120 total injuries were reported from April to June 2019, a jump of 2.5 percent over the same period last year.
The agency said that 35 officers were seriously hurt and 47 suffered substantial injuries.
Union president Patrick Lynch blamed the uptick on "anti-police lawmakers and failed NYPD leaders."
