A Utah man accused of murdering his girlfriend earlier this week then reportedly opened fire on responding officers before eventually shooting himself in the face.
According to the Salt Lake Tribune, police responded to calls of a woman screaming inside a residence. Upon arrival, officers heard gunshots, and one officer was struck in the leg.
Police entered and found 34-year-old Natalie Thurber dead of a gunshot wound to the head.
Officers then conducted a search for the gunman, eventually locating the alleged gunman, who had suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
